Resources and Training 

We understand that adoption is a journey that requires a lot of thoughtful preparation, training, and ongoing support. We encourage our families to do everything possible to establish the foundations and supports needed to see them through every step in their journey. 


Following are several resources that have our families have found valuable.

  • Refresh Support Group

    • Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:45-8:45pm
    • Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, WA
    • Childcare is available with RSVP. 
    • Optional dinner is available from 6:00-6:30pm (small donation for dinner and childcare).

  • Foster, Adoptive and Relative Care Support Groups

    • Provided by Fostering Together, a program of Olive Crest.  To find a support group near you, click here.



  • Ongoing Training

    The Alliance for  Child Welfare Excellence offers free training to licensed foster parents.  View the Alliance website for more information.
