Kari is a case manager at Antioch Adoptions and says that orphanage visits and church partnerships in China, Indonesia, and Mexico introduced her to the reality of orphan care overseas. This then, led her to the foster care system in the United States. She recently became licensed as a respite care provider and plans to foster and adopt someday. Kari loves that foster care and adoption is an “expression of the Lord’s heart for us and proclaims our identity as sons and daughters of God.” Romans 8:15
She grew up in Edmonds with her parents and two older brothers. She has lived in South Korea, Maine, and California and enjoys seeing the character of God expressed through different cultures and peoples.
