Birth Families

No one should have to face an unplanned pregnancy alone.

We know you have big decisions to make. Brave moms ask for help! We understand you didn’t expect to find yourself in this situation.  You may feel confused, scared, alone or just unsure how to move forward. We know that you just want to do what is right for your baby and yourself.

Antioch Adoptions is here to help you understand your choices honestly and accurately - and to stand with you during the process. It is important to know that you are not alone and that compassionate mentoring is available before, during and after the birth of your baby. Everyone (including you and your baby) has a voice and deserves respect. You will determine how open you would like this adoption to be and what sort of family you would wish for your baby.

Support & Services

Before your baby is born, we will work with you to help you get medical care for you and your baby so that both of you can be healthy when the baby comes. We will also work to ensure your living situation is safe.

We will talk with you about what you want your adoption plan to look like.  This will include thoughts about what sort of family adopts your baby, what kind of long term contact you may want, and even what happens in the hospital.  Some expectant moms have a lot of interaction with the adoptive family – others choose not to.  It’s really your plan, and we will talk with you about the pros and cons of each.

Services:

Our relationship isn’t over once you have your baby.  We will come to the hospital to make sure you are well taken care of, your interests are protected, and your questions are answered. Once you go home, we’re here for you with counseling if you need, or even just a good conversation over coffee. We can also connect you with community services and support groups. Long term, you can choose for us to be the contact point between you and your baby’s adoptive parents.

Most importantly, we don’t go away.  We are with you for the long haul. Life is worth it!
